Engineering the future through additive manufacturing

This keynote will provide an overview on the most recent advances in materials, printing strategies and the combination of 3D printing with other digital tools (AI, big data, IoT, etc.) for process optimization and to enhance part performance and quality. The use of 3D printing as a platform for material design and discovery will be discussed and relevant examples will be provided related to aerospace, electronics, biomedical and building and construction sectors. Finally, I will discuss key challenges and research opportunities.
